Side hustles that involve driving other people around are super popular.  Almost everyone I know uses them at least sometimes.  When it comes to being a side hustle, they can be great for the right person.  If you’re willing to work in peak hours, have a clean driving record, live in a busy area, and have a decent car, those are all pre-requisites for being a ride share driver.  You’ll also have to be okay with picking strangers up and having them in your car.  You may have to make some small talk, or deal with any messes left behind.  There are also some safety risks, so beware if you aren’t willing to take them.

With DoorDash, UberEats, and others, you can make decent money simply picking up food and dropping it off to various people near you.  Plus, you can earn tips, which makes it even better.

If you aren’t sure what Air BNB is, let me fill you in.  Air BNB is a sort of hotel service, where people rent out their own private properties to guests.  There are options to rent out the property with or without you staying in it as well.  So, if you have an extra room, or you can leave your home from time to time and stay somewhere else, you can earn extra money per night just by letting guests stay there.  You’ll have to clean the space between guests, and have some coordination with the website, as well as provide decent pictures, but it can be a great way to earn passive income if you have the right mentality for it.

If you’re not into renting out your guest room or letting strangers stay in your home, it doesn’t mean that Air BNB isn’t right for you.  Recently, the website has created a feature where it allows guests to rent experiences.  This is really cool because you can be creative.  You can offer services on Air B&B such as setting up a campsite, leading a yoga class, or providing a tour, and visitors to your location can book your time to enjoy it.  There are even options to go wine tasting or hiking with guests.  What’s cool about this is the level of involvement can vary based on your comfort.  You may or may not even have to meet the people that you are providing the service for.

Additionally, Air B&B has started providing online experiences.  These vary a lot as well.  If you go on their website, you can see online classes for tarot card reading, cooking, and arts and crafts.  There are performances and exercise classes as well.  A quick glance at their site will showcase hundreds of different options.  If you are willing to provide some sort of tutorial, virtual tour, or performance, you can look into if this is a decent side hustle for you, too.

How Much: For a room or property rental, you can earn over $100 a night in some areas, depending on the size of the space and your location.  For experiences, you may be able to earn a lot, too, it just depends. 

Concerns: You may have to coordinate with strangers, and you’ll need confidence to provide some sort of service or experience. 

Benefits: This can be super lucrative for the right situation, and may or may not need a lot of extra work on you end.
